Sanitation - Sanitation Technician

Job Summary
Ensure compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Production Practices (GPPs), and all food safety requirements. Collect, handle, and dispose of waste and recycling materials according to company procedures. Complete sanitation activities on established schedules while maintaining accurate records and documentation. Identify facility concerns and report them to the Sanitation Shift Lead or Supervisor. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety policies and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to continuously improve sanitation practices and resolve quality concerns. Perform other duties as assigned in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including production and sanitation environments
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in sanitation or industrial cleaning environments
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation practices, equipment, and safe handling procedures
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify cleanliness or sanitation deficiencies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and willingness to take direction and learn new procedures
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
