Sanitation Program Coordinator

Job Summary
Develop and lead the Master Sanitation program to ensure compliance with FDA, SQF, and customer expectations. Conduct inspections, maintain audit-ready records, and coordinate corrective actions for all sanitation and dust control tasks. Manage the chemical control program, select equipment, and oversee third-party cleaning contracts while ensuring proper PPE usage. Provide training to hourly staff on safety and regulatory requirements, and lead the team through audits and inspections. Analyze program data to optimize resource allocation and manage the sanitation budget and supply inventory.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of applicable professional experience working with facility-wide master sanitation systems
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college/university
- High School Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of equivalent work experience
- Advanced degree in a related field of discipline from an accredited college university
- Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be able to lead the Sanitation program and team to meet strategic goals
- Strong organization, planning and decision making abilities
- Ability to evaluate and make deductions based on information
- Ability to track and report on data
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to problem solve with groups of people
- High degree of personal integrity at all times
- Attentive to detail with a demonstrated ability to deliver to facilitate business and team success
- Ability to think through issues and make appropriate decisions, often with limited information
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred SQF, HACCP, and PCQI certification
- Experience with SQF and GFSI and regulatory audits and inspections
- Preferred knowledge of SAP, work order creation
