Job Summary
Follow plant SOPs and Master Sanitation Schedule to maintain hygienic conditions in the food manufacturing facility. Take ownership of sanitation activities, including routine cleaning verified by visual inspection and ATP testing, while monitoring CIP systems and documentation. Assist the Sanitation Supervisor in troubleshooting, solving, and preventing problems affecting sanitation, and maintain equipment and chemical inventories. Understand manufacturing processes and equipment layouts to ensure proper sanitation and efficient production startups. Complete documentation in accordance with Darigold policies and regulatory requirements. Work overnight, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed, collaborating effectively without direct supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow good manufacturing practices
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS office software
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communications skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High level of organizational skills
- Work overnight, weekends, and rotating/varying shifts – as needed
- Reliability – begin work on time and conform to work hours and schedule
- Must successfully pass pre-employment background screen
- Receive a negative drug screen result
- Confirm eligibility to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science discipline preferred or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in science discipline
- 2+ years food plant sanitation experience
