Job Summary
Sanitation Manager responsible for creating, maintaining, and training sanitation programs (including MSS, SSOPs, standard work, and documentation) across the facility; leads end-to-end changeover activities with Production, Quality, and Maintenance; analyzes sanitation KPIs, conducts root-cause analysis, and implements corrective actions; supervises sanitation staff, mentors on best practices, and manages sanitation budgets and vendor relationships; ensures compliance with GMP, SQF, HACCP/PCQI, and other food safety standards; participates in internal and external audits and maintains quality documentation; requires strong knowledge of sanitation principles, continuous improvement methods (LEAN, Six Sigma), and documentation practices; physically capable of meeting plant sanitation demands and working in office/warehouse environments.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in life or physical sciences, Food Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in quality leadership in food plant sanitation, quality or operations
- Strong knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, PCQI
- Certified SQF Practitioner or equivalent
- Certified in HACCP and/or PCQI
- Experienced or certified in internal auditing
- Experience leading projects and/or product commercialization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with ERP and analytics tools (Sisense, Tableau)
- Bi-lingual preferred
