Job Summary
Lead the site's sanitation program by ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and GFSI requirements while overseeing systems across manufacturing, processing, warehousing, and external grounds. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Master Sanitation Schedule and SSOPs using the seven-step methodology. Serve as the technical authority for Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems, leading program development, validation protocols, and root cause analyses for failures. Establish and monitor CIP critical factors, partner with Engineering and Maintenance on equipment design and automation, and analyze performance data to optimize chemical, water, and energy usage. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support capital projects involving sanitization systems. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing. The typical hiring range is $63,100 - $116,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, Dairy Science, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive sanitation, food safety, quality, or manufacturing leadership experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated technical leadership involving Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems
- Experience leading sanitation transformation, continuous improvement, and organizational change initiatives
- Experience supporting customer, FDA, USDA, BRCGS, SQF, or other GFSI certification audits
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete a background investigation
- Must pass a drug screen
