Job Summary
Oversee the proper and timely cleaning and sanitation of all processing areas, including smokehouses, overheads, pipes, and drains, ensuring compliance with USDA guidelines and HACCP plans. Conduct daily preoperational inspections with FSQ, perform swab testing to control bacteria growth, and maintain inventory of chemicals and equipment. Create and document sanitation standard operating procedures, assist with plant audits, and manage team member training on safety, GMPs, and chemical handling. Supervise and direct team members, enforce safety rules, and maintain attendance records while identifying and cleaning equipment on the plant floor. Work in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels, lifting up to 50 lbs, and collaborate with vendors to reroute reports and records to designated personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years related experience/training

- Ensure proper staffing is maintained, including interviewing and hiring new team members
- Implement and monitor training for new hires and continuing training of current team members
- Maintain attendance records, counsel team members with poor attendance, and follow up with coaching/discipline as appropriate
- Appraise work performance: conduct appropriate reviews for team members; give coaching/discipline as appropriate in a consistent and timely manner
- Review, correct, and approve timekeeping tool to ensure team members are paid correctly each pay period
- Provide appropriate interpretation of company policies and safety procedures
