Job Summary
Lead sanitation crew at Egg Central Station (ECS) bridging local family farms to grocery stores. Organize workflow, assign responsibilities, and prepare schedules while developing sanitation crew assignments and ownership of equipment and processes. Work with crewmembers, supervisors, and managers to uphold sanitary conditions and standards; evaluate performance; ensure safety and food quality procedures are rigorously followed; drive waste-elimination improvements; anticipate problems and make quick decisions under time pressure. Must coach others in sanitation practices, provide on-the-job training, and assist in executing planned sanitation events. Strong emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and adhering to GMP and safety requirements. Flexible enough to contribute to other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of work experience in a sanitation manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership / supervisory experience
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs
- Able to operate pallet jack
- Follow all Vital Farms policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
