Job Summary
Sanitation Lead oversees the sanitation team for the day shift, assigns tasks to the sanitation/janitorial staff, verifies proper use of equipment/chemicals, monitors PPE usage, documents sanitation activity, delivers training, escalates sanitation issues to supervisors, and ensures GMPs and SQF-based food safety standards are followed. Role emphasizes leadership responsibilities, training/coaching, and maintaining cleanliness of food assembly/storage areas and non-food areas, with a 8:30 AM–7:00 PM schedule and Sundays/Tuesdays off, located in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- General high school degree or equivalent (e.g. GED)
- Fluency in English; Spanish preferred
- 2+ years of experience in food, safety or sanitation
- Ability to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS); preferred
- Experience with sanitation of automated equipment; preferred
- Prior exposure to GFSI, SQF, FDA, and USDA audits; preferred
