Job Summary
Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to USDA, food safety, and company sanitation standards. Prepare, mix, and safely apply cleaning chemicals while following all PPE and safety requirements. Inspect equipment and areas after sanitation to ensure proper cleanliness and report any issues or hazards promptly. Maintain an organized, safe work environment by removing debris, rinsing surfaces, and ensuring proper storage of tools and chemicals. Work collaboratively with team members to complete sanitation tasks efficiently and support a positive, safety-focused environment. Follow detailed sanitation procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and all safety, food safety, and biosecurity guidelines. Perform additional sanitation duties as needed to support production readiness and meet operational goals. Schedule: Monday-Friday with some weekend work or overtime required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 10°F to 40°F
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Must be a team player
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense
- Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Must be available for weekend work or overtime
- Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks
- Must be able to provide verification of employment eligibility by the end of the third day of work
