Job Summary
Full-Time Sanitation Equipment Operator in Johnson City, TN. Operate residential, commercial, and recycling sanitation equipment, load/unload materials, and ensure safe operation of heavy public works equipment (front-loading and rear-loading vehicles, backhoes, forklifts). Must be able to service equipment, follow written and oral instructions, and maintain records. High school diploma or GED preferred; CDL required (city will help you obtain CDL). On-site role requiring physical strength and adherence to safety protocols to contribute to a clean, healthy community.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) from the State of Tennessee (CDL help available)
- Experience operating trucks and specialized automotive equipment is desirable
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing automotive equipment operation
