Job Summary
Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, equipment, tools, and common workspaces to meet safety, quality, and hygiene standards. Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and chemical usage guidelines while properly handling and storing supplies. Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning, maintain facility cleanliness, and dispose of waste according to regulatory standards. Complete sanitation logs and checklists accurately, report maintenance issues or hazards immediately, and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Assist with special cleaning tasks during shutdowns, inspections, or audits. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Physically able to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot/cold or wet environments
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning roles preferred, especially in industrial or food-grade environments
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and safe handling practices
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
