Job Summary
Develop and maintain Food Safety and Quality programs to ensure high-quality, safe products. Conduct daily plant sanitation audits, oversee the cleaning crew, and manage third-party contractor records. Perform cleaning tasks, take daily chemical inventory, and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 standards using only organic-approved chemicals. Monitor employee performance, complete required documentation, and report deficiencies to the supervisor. Work Monday through Saturday from 12:00 am to 8:00 am, with Thursday and Sunday off. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Compliance to SOP's, GMPs, Housekeeping, Safety, and all other FE policies
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data
- Ability to achieve results in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Understanding of the Food Safety Statement
- Completion of required training
- Acceptable level of competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and training requirements
- Knowledge of GMP
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Statement
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000/Global Food Safety Policy/Food Safety Goals
- Knowledge of Visitor/Food/Site Security
- Knowledge of Emergency Preparedness
- Knowledge of Blood borne Pathogens
- Strong technical knowledge of food processing
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer usage (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to speak, read and write in both Spanish and English
- Ability to guide third party sanitation personnel
- Ability to coordinate scheduling of cleaning tasks in accordance with FEX priorities
- Ability to safely handle chemicals and tools according to GMP's, SSOP's and all Fresh Express specifications
- Ability to show initiative in looking for tasks and keeping the crew busy with cleaning tasks
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff
- Ability to interface successfully at all levels in a multi-cultural environment
- Intermediate computer skills including intermediate MS Office
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Ability to organize, track and manage a variety of concurrent activities and projects
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with FSSC 22000 or equivalent system
- Previous experience in food manufacturing sanitation
