Job Summary
Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, floors, work areas, and facility surfaces while following established procedures. Safely handle, measure, mix, and use approved cleaning chemicals by reading labels and Safety Data Sheets. Operate sanitation equipment, disassemble items for cleaning, and maintain accurate logs. Report spills, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to supervisors. Maintain a clean chemical storage area and wear required PPE. Work closely with production and maintenance teams to complete sanitation activities and perform other assigned duties. Required to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends and overtime, with pay ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Ability to work in wet areas and varying temperatures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
- Ability to safely work with cleaning and sanitation chemicals
- Ability to read and understand chemical labels and safety instructions
- Ability to properly wear required PPE
Desired Qualifications
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, chemical handling, food processing, warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience
- Previous experience handling cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
