Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces across production areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and equipment. Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables, dilute and mix cleaning chemicals per safety guidelines, and maintain cleaning equipment while reporting malfunctions. Conduct routine inspections to identify sanitation issues, complete sanitation logs and checklists, and coordinate with team members to address concerns. Dilute and mix cleaning chemicals following safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, notifying supervisors of shortages. Work a 12-hour day shift on a 2-2-2 schedule starting at $22.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Proficiency of the English language (read, write, and speak English)
- Proven experience in sanitation, cleaning, or janitorial roles
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning agents
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning and disinfection tasks
- Ability to follow instructions, protocols, and safety guidelines accurately
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying objects
