Job Summary
Maintain facility and equipment according to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulated food production standards. Comply with all legislated laws regarding safety, quality, lockout tag out, GMP, HACCP, allergen, and Blommer specific policies. Perform preventative maintenance and apply 5S principles to ensure clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions. Sanitize assigned manufacturing equipment, systems, pumps, and tanks, dismantling as required to meet food safety standards. Clean and inspect metal detectors and magnets daily, recording results on HACCP logs. Complete required reports such as production datasheets and order documentation. Operate equipment to maintain clean floors by removing dirt, spilled chocolate, grease, and debris. Empty waste containers and wash walls or tanks to remove foreign matter. Report defective materials, missing tools, or issues requiring extended cleaning time to the supervisor. Enter confined spaces for cleaning following required safety procedures. Work the 3rd shift (Sun-Thur 10pm-6:30am) at $21.50/hr plus shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Able to be trained in confined space and fall protection
- Basic computer skills, preferably MS Office
- Must stand for prolonged periods of time; climb stairs
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach to clean areas, push mops, brooms and vacuum
- Lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Enter small/tight areas
- Work in very hot and sometimes cold conditions
