Job Summary
Lead and support the sanitation team to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to standard by abiding by Good Manufacturing Practices and enforcing all safety rules, SSOPs, and sanitation procedures. Oversee cleaning and sanitizing of the USDA room, equipment, and assigned facility areas while verifying chemical mixing, concentrations, and proper use of cleaning materials. Test and record sanitizer strength, detect and eliminate residue, and follow lockout/tagout procedures to guarantee equipment remains off during cleaning. Ensure daily documentation is completed and submitted on time, maintain an audit-ready production area, and communicate updates, revisions, and food safety requirements to the crew. Assist with training new hires, support team development, and complete all annual training. Report mechanical problems to the supervisor and maintain strong communication across departments. Work the 3rd shift in temperatures between 34-40 degrees Fahrenheit with frequent exposure to wet, humid conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds.

- Knowledge of chemical mixing process.
- Ability to lead others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Normal visual and hearing acuity required.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills.
- USDA Inspection experience.
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
- USDA Sanitation experience, at least 1 full year, in manufacturing setting.
