Sango Interpreter

Sango-English phone interpreter working from home in the United States as an independent contractor. Provides real-time verbal interpretation across industries (healthcare, 911, government, education, finance, law enforcement, etc.) via on-demand calls. Responsibilities include interpreting sessions promptly, rendering accurate meanings, speaking clearly in both languages, maintaining professionalism, staying neutral, and complying with client protocols. Requires fluency in Sango and English, cultural competency, strong listening and note-taking skills, ability to stay focused on calls (even under stress), and the ability to work in a quiet, secure home environment. Training is provided with opportunities for advancement; role supports remote work and does not include employee benefits. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and likely to be at least 18 years old. Equipment/technical requirements include a dedicated workspace, compatible devices, and reliable internet. Salary is paid per minute of interpretation (rate range $1.25–$1.40 per minute). This is an independent contractor position with typical worker expectations and no employee benefits.
