Job Summary
Coordinate the BHN SANE program by providing staff training, developing orientation plans for new examiners, and managing an on-call schedule. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while overseeing the collection, storage, and transport of exam kits across all ED sites. Collaborate with law enforcement and agency leaders to support victims of violence, assault, and human trafficking. Explore grant funding opportunities and maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient needs. Requires a valid NYS RN license, BSN within 10 years, and extensive travel every week.
Required Qualifications
- 2 Year/Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year hospital Med/Surg experience
- Critical Care Nursing experience
- Valid NYS RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- TNCC Certification
- ENPC Certification
- SANE (adult/peds) Certification
- Sexual Assault Examiner Class - 40 hours of classroom training
- Enrollment in a bachelor's prepared nursing program within 4 years of hire (for RNs without current BSN)
- BSN completion within 10 years (for RNs without current BSN)
- RN licensed on or before 12/19/17
- Extensive Travel - You should expect to travel every week
- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently
- Occasional crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, stooping
- Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, seeing/monitor/computer use, standing, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), walking, fit testing
- Constant hearing
