Job Summary
Sand cabinet components and custom pieces to ensure proper surface quality for finishing. Prepare and modify select components, including molding, floating shelves, oven hoods, and other custom pieces as needed. Identify surface imperfections or sanding issues and determine appropriate corrections. Safely operate saws and cutting tools to support sanding department operations and build tasks. Move and stage components carefully to support smooth transfer to the next stage of production. Meet daily and weekly production goals while maintaining strict quality standards. Collaborate with team members to support production flow and maintain high finish quality. Maintain your work area to ensure safety, efficiency, and finish integrity. Share ideas for improving processes and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds alone
- Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read production schedules, job cards, and basic computer interfaces
- A good eye for detail

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in surface preparation, sanding, or woodworking
