Sandblaster Team Lead

Sandblaster Team Lead at American Rheinmetall leads and mentors a team of blast operators in sandblasting and surface preparation, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency. The role manages the daily priority list, locates and stages required parts, oversees removal of burrs from machined parts, inspects parts for conformance to work instructions, and enforces safety procedures and regulatory compliance (AS9100, ISO 14001). The Team Lead supports production and assembly activities, promotes continuous improvement, maintains an organized workspace, tracks team performance, and communicates progress to management. Requires strong knowledge of sandblasting techniques, tools, and materials; ability to work independently while coordinating with supervisors; and familiarity with ERP systems (PLEX preferred). Education: high school diploma or equivalent; experience supervising or leading a team preferred.
