Job Summary
Assist Head Start Teacher in developing activities for preschool children and providing varied experiences to create an appropriate learning environment. Collaborate with the Head Start Teacher, supervise children including those with disabilities, and share in developing and implementing lesson plans. May act as a substitute teacher in the absence of the Teacher and perform related paperwork and reports. May take on additional duties based on program needs and areas of developing expertise; works with the Teacher to achieve Head Start program goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or will to obtain a CDA
- Experience working with preschool children (preferred not required)
- Must be able to pass background check
