Job Summary
Conduct soil sample splitting by following LIMS programs to determine split types and checks. Perform moisture checks on samples as required and weigh out sample mass using a balance, recording all data into the LIMS system. Run instrumentation and transfer data into the LIMS system. Perform sample discard on various bottle types by following LIMS programs indicating when samples are ready for disposal. Work independently on a full-time 2nd shift schedule from 3pm to 11:30pm, with rotations between Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. Complete 3-4 weeks of training on the 1st shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work independently
- Basic computers skills including data entry
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Previous laboratory experience
- Previous experience with instrumentation
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use a balance and measure using milliliters
