Job Summary
Manage sample entry, prep, and lab operations by moving samples regularly between departments and ensuring every barcode is scanned with the correct location assigned. Monitor sample location bins in various areas, apply GMP/GLP standards, and communicate discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately. Occasionally work in the sample disposal area and handle hazardous waste following on-the-job training. Lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for most of the day, and work in walk-in cold storage units while wearing PPE. Overtime and weekend work are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of computers
- Experience with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced enviroment
- Ability to walk/stand the majority of the day
- Ability to identify and communicate customer service needs
- Strong communicator
- Ability to learn new tasks
- Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Overtime and weekend work as required
- Will be exposed to potential food allergens (ex. Milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, etc.)
- Physical requirements include, but not are limited to, walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting
- May work in walk-in cold storage units
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for short periods of time
- Work may requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
