Sample Runner SA- A Team

Operate lab equipment to collect hourly samples for three systems, including fat, feather, and blood samples, requiring frequent climbing and extensive walking. Maintain clear communication, demonstrate computer and penmanship skills, and possess upper body strength to climb vertical ladders and pull up own weight. Assist in other plant areas as needed. Read and follow all Standard Work Instructions and Training Within Industry using Lean principles; follow Simmons safety/environment policies and government guidelines for handling feed products, packaging, ingredients, and related items. Operate, monitor, and adjust equipment to maintain production speeds and quality of finished products; keep the department clean and organized during shift. Complete department forms and participate in team activities, aligning with BEST practices. Be aware of hazards and take appropriate precautions; participate in team meetings and contribute to team cohesiveness. Demonstrate familiarity with Simmons operating systems and uphold system-wide responsibilities; perform additional duties as directed by the shift supervisor. This position may require working in wet, noisy, dusty, humid, hot or cold environments and standing for extended periods; PPE includes hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, safety footwear, H2S monitor, and full-face respirator.
