Sample Preparer - Soils

As a Sample Preparer at ALS, you will operate sample preparation equipment and perform tasks to prepare soil and rock samples for chemical analysis. You will sort and verify incoming samples against client submission documentation, label and record samples, and perform preparation steps such as crushing, splitting, sieving, drying, and pulverizing. You will monitor equipment performance, report faults, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area while adhering to strict health, safety, and quality standards. The role supports a full-time roster in a production/environmental laboratory setting, with responsibilities that include following procedures, attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability in a dusty environment with appropriate PPE, including a half-face respirator. Previous experience in production, warehousing, or laboratory environments is advantageous but not essential, and successful candidates will have the opportunity for training and progression within the organization.
