Sample Preparation Technician (General Labour) - 6 Month Contract

Unpack, sort, transfer, and dry samples while executing crushing, pulverizing, and screening of geological materials per Standard Operating Procedures. Conduct routine quality checks including particle size analysis and dust loss, reporting data immediately if results fall outside acceptable parameters. Maintain clean workbench areas, ensure equipment is maintained in good order, and keep all records and notebooks current. Enter QC results into SLIMS and complete work order documentation. May be assigned to other areas of the Geochemistry laboratory sections when required. This is a fixed-term 6-month contract position with an hourly rate of $20.
