Job Summary
Crush mineral samples such as coal, iron ore, and limestone using various crusher models in accordance with published standards. Transfer, label, and file samples while accurately recording all associated data and paperwork. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on preparation equipment, ensuring all tools and containers are organized and cleaned before and after use. Wear required personal protective equipment at all times and strictly adhere to local, federal, and internal safety procedures. Works under immediate supervision with occasional overtime required. Intermediate English skills and reasoning abilities are needed to follow directions and solve standardized problems.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- Intermediate English
- Intermediate level reasoning skills
- Ability to effectively communicate (in writing or verbally)
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work independently and under moderate supervision
- Team player attitude
