Job Summary
Sew various types of garments, including dresses, while communicating with floor supervisors, cutters, and patternmakers to ensure correct construction and attention to detail. Apply all finishing details such as buttons, snaps, top stitching, pic stitching, and hardware. Operate specialty machines including button-hole, key-hole, snap, cover stitch, marrow, and blind stitch presses. Press finished garments to eliminate wrinkles and add creases as required. Read and comprehend cutter musts for garment construction and details. Requires five or more years of sewing experience and knowledge of Gerber Accumark.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Gerber Accumark
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of sewing experience handling various types of garments and fabrics
- Experience operating various specialty machines (marrow, blind stitch, cover stitch, buttonhole and key-hole)
