Job Summary
Organize plant trials by receiving, staging, and supporting production attendance while coordinating sample orders from Sales and I&D. Ship samples with tracking, maintain R&D inventory levels, and record assembly data using photography for documentation. Conduct environmental microbiological monitoring including swabbing, logging results, and trending to ensure HACCP plan compliance. Review data for regulatory adherence, compile analytical reports, and lead corrective actions for sanitation deficiencies. Educate associates on food safety policies, perform floor audits, and coordinate sign-off documents for FDA, USDA, and FSMA standards. Work a flexible schedule with overtime as necessary to support new product launches and pilot phases.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in related science field, or 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent knowledge of the components used in the manufacturing plant
- Working knowledge of basic plant equipment, and production workflow
- Possesses the ability to read and understand product specifications
- Ability to make good sound accurate decisions in the supervisor's absence
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as necessary
- Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities
- Strong attention to detail, communication and organization skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and Excel specifically) is required
- Ability to interact with all levels of organization
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Ability to foresee potential upcoming issues and react to resolve in a timely manner
- Regular and predictable attendance
