Job Summary
Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans. Documents care accurately in electronic records, identifies learning needs, and recognizes cultural differences to personalize patient interactions. Functions as a resource for colleagues, delegates appropriately, and assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned. Works effectively with the interdisciplinary team, assists in orienting staff, and identifies policy revision needs based on evidence-based research. Collects and analyzes data to improve patient care and meets organizational standards through active professional development and required clinical lattice PLAN system contact hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire
- Valid driver's license (implied by 'multi-state practice' and 'compact license' requirement)
- Ability to lift 36-75 lbs
- Ability to carry objects up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk
- Ability to perform close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Ability to work in environments with blood-borne pathogen exposure
- Ability to work with bio-hazardous waste
- Ability to handle chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors
- Ability to work with communicable diseases
- Ability to work with electrical shock hazards
- Ability to work with floor surfaces
- Ability to work with hot/cold temperatures
- Ability to work indoors/outdoors
- Ability to work with latex
- Ability to work with lighting variations
- Ability to work with patient care/handling injuries
- Ability to work with radiation
- Ability to work shift work
- Ability to use personal protective equipment, including respirators
