Same Day Surgery Nurse

Provide comprehensive Same Day Surgery nursing care in a collaborative operating room setting. Evaluate patients prior to surgery, educate patients and families about perioperative processes, and manage preoperative medications and intravenous therapy. Perform surgical site verification and participate in rounds, briefings, and debriefings following universal protocols. Recognize and respond to emergencies, deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, and continuously apply the nursing process with scientific judgment and leadership in a dynamic interdisciplinary team. Monitor patient condition throughout the shift, document changes, and educate patients/families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care. On-call is required during select non-business hours.
