Job Summary
Same Day Surgery Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care in collaboration with surgeons, nursing staff, and other professionals. Key duties include evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education about procedures and peri-operative processes, preparing patients (including intravenous therapy and preoperative medications), participating in surgical site verification and universal protocols, recognizing and responding to emergencies, applying the nursing process with critical thinking, and contributing to continuous improvement within a dynamic interdisciplinary team. Role requires an Associate Degree and RN licensure, BLS/CPR within 30 days of start date, and at least 2 years of RN experience with surgical services preferred; on-call during select non-business hours. Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- At least 2 years RN experience; Surgical Services experience preferred
