Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing same-day surgery, endoscopic procedures, and post-anesthesia recovery across pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-operative phases. Review patient history, verify consents, and document data using EHR systems while initiating IV access and administering pre-op orders. Provide ongoing monitoring during Phase I and II recovery using ASPAN guidelines and deliver discharge education regarding wound care and dietary guidance. Maintain situational awareness, support quality and safety initiatives, and mentor new staff as assigned. Requires ACLS and PALS certifications within 45 days of hire.
