Job Summary
Deliver remarkable customer service by providing exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, and Grocery departments. Build rapport with customers through good eye contact and body language while responding to questions effectively. Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards, utilizing technology to complete tasks and following safety and sanitation procedures. Stay calm in a fast-paced environment while lifting, carrying, and pushing products. This role supports Meijer's family culture of community growth and personal development within a multi-billion dollar retailer operating over 270 stores across six states.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually
- Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
- Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary
- Process-driven with ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way
