Job Summary
Salon Manager in Training responsible for recruiting, training, and leading a sales-focused team to meet or exceed sales goals while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, coaching and mentoring staff, managing daily operations and expenses, maintaining store standards and compliance, building customer loyalty, analyzing daily sales and expenses for profitability, safeguarding cash handling and banking, and supporting a comprehensive training program to prepare for a management role. The role emphasizes leadership development, creating a positive team environment, and achieving financial objectives through controllable expenses and sales performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Proven experience in retail/customer service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to stand, bend, walk for long periods of time (7+ hours)
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance
- Reliable transportation, flexible availability including nights and weekends
