Job Summary
Salesperson role to support DIY automotive customers, with responsibilities including delivering excellent selling experiences for DIY customer visits and phone inquiries, achieving personal and store sales goals, performing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining product/operational standards, and handling inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.). Requires knowledge of store/inventory systems, basic automotive parts knowledge, and ability to source parts from multiple channels; primary duties include in-store customer service, parts delivery, and safe operation of relevant equipment. Strong communication skills in English (Spanish a plus) and ability to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekends. Fleet safety certification is preferred. Advanced proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems and basic math is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
- basic knowledge of store systems and inventory processes
- fleet safety certification preferred
- ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers
- excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- English (Spanish a plus) and ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
- ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment
- ability to work varied days, evenings, and weekends
