Job Summary
Entry-level Salesperson at Advance Auto Parts responsible for providing an excellent selling experience to DIY customers, achieving personal and store sales goals, and delivering DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs. Role includes inventory management, truck put-away, cycle counts, back stock, and maintaining store cleanliness. Requires basic driving/navigation, strong customer communication, and ability to work various shifts including weekends; English (Spanish preferred) and familiarity with parts catalogs and inventory systems. Experience in a diverse retail environment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- English proficiency; Spanish a plus
- Basic math skills for inventory and pricing
- Experience with POS and parts lookup systems
