Job Summary
Salesperson role focused on DIY customer service and parts sales. Responsibilities include providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customers via in-store visits and phone calls, achieving personal and store sales goals, delivering DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installations), maintaining inventory and store standards (including truck put-away, cycle counts, back stock), and handling general stocking, store cleanliness, and parts delivery. Requires knowledge of automotive systems and parts, ability to operate inventory and POS systems, strong communication, and basic math. Candidates typically bring 2-3 years of retail sales experience; English proficiency is required (Spanish a plus); ability to work a variety of days/evenings/weekends. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic automotive system knowledge
- Basic part knowledge
- Fleet safety certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
- Speak and write English; Spanish a plus
