Job Summary
Salesperson in automotive aftermarket retail responsible for providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customers, achieving personal and store sales goals, and performing DIY services (e.g., battery installations, wiper installs). Responsibilities include maintaining store product and operational standards, managing inventory (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), and delivering parts to customers as needed. Skills emphasized include customer service, knowledge of store systems and automotive parts, inventory familiarity, basic math, effective communication, and the ability to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends. The role requires English proficiency (Spanish a plus), basic math, and comfort with driving and inventory/POS systems. Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment
- Ability to operate POS and Parts lookup systems
Desired Qualifications
- Fleet safety certification preferred
- Basic automotive system knowledge
