Job Summary
Salesperson role focusing on delivering a strong DIY customer experience at Advance Auto Parts. Duties include achieving personal sales goals, supporting store sales objectives, providing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs, managing inventory and back stock, handling truck put away and cycle counts, and delivering parts to customers as needed. Requires 2-3 years of sales experience in retail, basic automotive parts knowledge, proficiency with store systems and POS, ability to read safety and parts catalogs, and effective communication in English (Spanish a plus). Must be able to work varied days, evenings, and weekends, and lift up to 50-100 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Friendly communication
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Parts and automotive system knowledge skills
- Operating POS and Parts lookup systems
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50-100 pounds
