Job Summary
Salesperson position in a DIY automotive parts environment. Responsibilities include providing excellent selling experience for DIY customers, meeting personal and store sales goals, performing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining inventory and store standards, and assisting with deliveries. Essential skills include strong customer service, basic automotive knowledge, ability to operate POS and inventory systems, and effective communication in English (Spanish a plus). Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; 2-3 years of prior sales experience in retail preferred. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic automotive system knowledge
- Basic part knowledge
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Speak and write English; Spanish a plus
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Ability to use basic math in all units of measure
