Job Summary
Salesperson role in an automotive DIY retail environment. Responsibilities include providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and over the phone, achieving personal and store sales goals, performing DIY services such as battery installations and wiper installations, maintaining inventory and store standards, handling stock and delivery duties, and operating inventory, POS, and parts lookup systems. Requires 2-3 years of sales experience in retail, ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends, basic automotive knowledge, and effective communication in English (Spanish a plus). The position può be part-time or full-time and at the Baltimore, MD store, with a focus on safety, customer service, and accurate handling of parts and inventory.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Speak and write English; Spanish a plus
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately in all units of measure
- Ability to operate POS and Parts lookup systems
- Knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building
- Ability to deliver parts to customers and handle inventory responsibilities
