Job Summary
Entry-level Salesperson for DIY automotive parts. Provides excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and over the phone, helps the store achieve its sales goals, and performs DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installations. Maintains store inventory and operational standards, handles inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), and safely delivers parts to customers as needed. Requires basic driving/navigation, strong communication, and ability to work varied days including weekends; English is required (Spanish a plus). Familiarity with store systems, POS, and parts lookup systems; knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Speak and write English; Spanish a plus
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Prior experience with operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Fleet safety certification preferred
