Job Summary
Salesperson role focused on DIY automotive parts and customer service. Responsible for providing a selling experience for DIY customers via in-store visits and phone calls, achieving personal and store sales goals, and performing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive parts knowledge, inventory management (including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), and safe delivery of parts to customers. Key skills include driving and navigation, effective communication, operating POS and parts lookup systems, and basic math. Must be able to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends. Typically a part-time or full-time position with emphasis on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining store standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Friendly communication and customer relationship skills
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedures manuals
- Use basic math accurately in all units of measure
- Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Store inventory knowledge and ability to stock parts
- Experience with POS and parts lookup systems
- Knowledge of battery installation, testing, and wiper installation is a plus
- Ability to safely deliver parts to customers
- Knowledge of inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock
- English required, Spanish a plus
