Job Summary
Salesperson (part-time or full-time) in an automotive DIY parts retail setting. Responsibilities include providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customers, achieving personal and store sales goals, performing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs, managing inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), and maintaining store product and operational standards. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts knowledge, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. Skills emphasized include English communication (Spanish a plus), basic math, driving/navigation, operating POS and parts lookup systems, inventory systems, testing/diagnostic equipment for DIY service, and safety awareness. Ability to work a range of days including evenings and weekends, and to deliver parts to customers as needed. The role is located in New Caney, TX, with on-site (in-person) work expectations per the posting.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Read and interpret safety rules and manuals
- Ability to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends
