Job Summary
Salesperson in automotive aftermarket retail focusing on DIY customers. Entry level sales role supporting DIY business objectives with knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and basic parts knowledge. Responsibilities include providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls, achieving personal sales goals, providing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installations, maintaining store product and operational standards, and handling inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock. Secondary duties include store cleanliness, general stocking, and safely delivering parts to customers. Required skills include English (Spanish a plus), effective communication, ability to interpret safety and operation manuals, basic math, and flexibility to work a variety of shifts. Prior experience of 2-3 years in retail sales is expected. The role involves operating POS and Parts lookup systems, and familiarity with diagnostic/testing equipment for DIY services.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic automotive system knowledge and basic part knowledge
- Ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers
- Fleet safety certification preferred
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Proficiency in operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
