Job Summary
Salesperson role handling DIY customer interactions and phone inquiries to achieve personal and store sales goals. Responsibilities include providing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.), maintaining store product and operational standards, managing inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), store cleanliness, and general stocking. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and parts knowledge, with emphasis on customer service, effective communication, and ability to work varying shifts including weekends. Prior experience in a retail environment and ability to use driving/navigation and delivery boards are important. Fleet safety certification is preferred. Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and manuals and operate POS and parts lookup systems; English proficiency is required with Spanish a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Experience with inventory systems and store equipment
