Job Summary
Salesperson position in automotive parts retail with either part-time or full-time hours. Responsibilities include providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and over the phone, achieving personal and store sales goals, performing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installation, maintaining store product and operational standards, managing inventory including truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock, and performing general stocking and cleanliness tasks. Requires basic automotive system and parts knowledge, ability to source from multiple channels (stores, hubs, PDQ, external suppliers), proficiency with inventory and POS systems, and the ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and evenings. English proficiency is required; Spanish is a plus. Prior 2-3 years of sales experience in retail is preferred, with fleet safety certification preferred. Delivering parts to customers when needed and maintaining safety and operational procedures are essential. Benefits and company information are provided by the employer.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Ability to provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers
- Basic automotive system knowledge and basic part knowledge
- Ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers
- In-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes
- Fleet safety certification preferred
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends
- Speak and write English; Spanish a plus
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and manuals
- Use basic math accurately for transactions and inventory
- Operate POS and parts lookup systems
- Ability to safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills
