Job Summary
Entry-level Salesperson position supporting the DIY automotive business with knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and parts knowledge. Responsibilities include delivering excellent selling experiences to DIY customers in person and by phone, achieving personal and store sales goals, providing DIY services such as battery installation and tests (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining store product and operational standards, and handling inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock). Secondary duties cover store cleanliness, stocking, and safely delivering parts to customers. Must be able to work various days, including evenings and weekends. Qualifications emphasize 2-3 years of sales experience, English proficiency (Spanish a plus), basic math, driving/navigation, and ability to interpret safety and maintenance documents, and familiarity with inventory, POS/parts lookup systems, and DIY diagnostic equipment. Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Operating POS and Parts lookup systems
- Experience with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service
