Job Summary
Salesperson role focused on delivering excellent DIY customer service and driving sales in an automotive parts environment. Responsibilities include achieving personal and store sales goals, performing DIY services (e.g., battery installation and wiper installations), maintaining inventory accuracy (cycle counts, back stock, shelf replenishment), processing deliveries and parts to customers, and ensuring store cleanliness and safety. Required skills include effective communication, basic math, familiarity with inventory and POS systems, knowledge of automotive parts and systems, and the ability to work a varied schedule including weekends. Prior 2-3 years of retail sales experience and basic knowledge of store systems and automotive parts are preferred. Fleet safety certification is noted as preferred. The role may be part-time or full-time depending on store needs.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- basic driving and navigation ability
- ability to use delivery board system
- speak and write English; Spanish a plus
- read and interpret documents related to safety, maintenance, and procedures
- basic math proficiency for handling transactions and inventory
